Storytelling Through Architecture
There is nothing more powerful than a good story. A story that transcends reality and traverses into the world of the imagination.
Architecture, for me, has become a vessel for storytelling.
Stories are a way to transmit experience, evoke curiosity, and bring people together – as they have been doing so for centuries. They allow us to travel to new worlds and discover different cultures and traditions. Architecture gives us the ability to transform those stories and fairytales into the language of the tectonic. It is the theatrical and ordinary, the didactic and the fantastic, the simple and the sublime. It is the chance to craft destinations of performance, where each person concurrently sees performance and becomes a part of it.
And while architecture faces difficult challenges in today’s world, it relies on our imagination, sense of wonder, and affinity for storytelling, for inspiration and guidance.
This portfolio is an exploration of storytelling through architecture, and of always asking yourself,
“what if...?”
